Be Energy, a leader in French technology in India: an energy and ecological adventure

Be Energy, a leader in battery regeneration, has once again distinguished itself on the international stage. Selected from among twelve French Fab companies for its mission "Explore & Match: French Fab India", organised by Bpifrance and Business France, Be Energy embodies innovation and ecological commitment à la française.
From 27 November to 1 December 2023, the delegation of twelve French SMEs and ETIs was welcomed to India for a series of key meetings with major players in the local industry. Be Energy, as an emblematic representative of French expertise and innovation, had the opportunity to present its battery regeneration solutions, an area of increasing relevance in the Indian context marked by a rapid transition to electromobility and growing ecological awareness.

A stronger commitment in India

The creation of Be Energy India in Hyderabad, a major centre of industry and technology, marks a strategic turning point. Managed locally by Guillaume Quattropani, this subsidiary, 100% owned by Be Energy France, is dedicated to developing a network of battery regeneration centres, underlining the growing importance of the Indian market in this sector.
During its participation in the Explore & Match: French Fab India mission, Be Energy held high-level meetings with Indian industrial giants such as Tata Power, Mahindra and Godrej. These interactions have not only strengthened Be Energy's position in the Indian market, but have also opened up prospects for future collaborations.

The Indian market: huge potential for battery regeneration

India, with its population of 1.4 billion in 2021, is a huge market for the battery sector. The transition to electric vehicles, with sales reaching almost one million by 2022, is creating massive demand for lithium batteries. Through its regeneration technology, Be Energy is responding to a dual challenge: economic and ecological.

A measurable ecological impact

The regeneration of one tonne of lead batteries by Be Energy saves 3 tonnes of CO2, a figure that testifies to the company's positive impact on the environment. This process is fully in line with India's sustainable development objectives, particularly in terms of reducing CO2 emissions and managing battery waste.
