GRANIOU SERVICES MEDITERRANEE SUBSIDIARY OF VINCI GROUP HAS A FULL INTEGRATED REGENERATION SERVICE FOR THE GROUP STATIONNARY BATTERIES.

GRANIOU Cie is a leading company on the domectic market, for the settelment of mobile phone relay networking. With 1300 employees all over the country, GRANIOU is meeting the requirements of such clients as: SFR, Orange and Bouygues Télécom. Quick overview on batteries in the telecom network : In France more than 100 000 mobile phone relay stations are settled all over the country. All of them have a set of stationary batteries. Those have to deliver sufficient energy to keep the station in duty while maintenance team work is processing controls and repairs.
Usually 4 to 8 batteries are required as a safety and secondary power supply. Their capacity can be different upon the station and th equipment fitted. The central telecom stations are far greater battery users. It is very seldom to have less than a thousand battery pack in those centers.

The total battery park in such a category for the french market is roughly about a million stationary units at a unit cost between 300 to 600 euros!

When battery regeneration involves tremendous savings, operators step in right away… Those stationary batteries are usually removed and replaced every 4 to 6 years depending on the operators standards. The direct annual cost for such a policy is approaching 55 millions euros and the labor cost for the battery replacement and fitting is not included there! For the past few years operator where planning the extension of the whole network, but nowadays that the stations are already settled, it is time to enter the turnover management of those units. Batterie regeneration for the operators is : A way to lower dramaticaly the costs Is a fantastic promotion tool as they will stress on the sustainaible development management of their stations. The new regulation on the reduction of wave intensity will emphasize the set up of new relays which involves more battery equipments.
A new service on its way to better serve your interest The batteries used in those relays are high tech ones. The greater the technology the greater the price is and those AGM units have a real value.
With this technology, the electrolyte is captured in a polyester fiber separator. GRANIOU services méditerranée set up a regeneration center with the present capability to treat 16 batteries of 12v within 24 H. This capacity shall be extended rapidly.

BATTERIE PLUS worked on several regeneration programs to meet the operators needs, and after several months analysis, a dedicated program has been set up :
1 discharging premilinary test
3 to 4 régénération cycles with short pulses program
A full discharge at the end of the process for capacity validation.

Graniou services will print out a discharge diagram dedicated to those specific telecom relay taking in account the worst situation that may apply during heavy maintenance on site.

Some telecom units manufacturers, such as SIEMENS are considering the regeneration of thousands of batteries for the coming months.
