Battery regeneration: a strategic lever to meet the requirements of the CSRD and ESRS standards
24 October 2024Presentation of the PTS 800 Be Energy at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Las Vegas.
Be Energy took part in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas, held from January 7 to 10, showcasing French innovation in lithium battery management. Selected by Business France and the Région Sud – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and supported by Rising Sud, the French company introduced the PTS 800 — a major breakthrough in the safe reconditioning of lithium batteries for soft mobility (electric bikes, scooters, and mopeds).
At a time when the management of lithium batteries is a growing concern for both safety and sustainability, Be Energy highlighted its expertise through this cutting-edge solution.
PTS 800: a technological breakthrough for lithium battery safety
The PTS 800 (Secure Workstation) is a revolutionary device designed to ensure maximum safety when handling lithium batteries, significantly reducing the risk of accidents and thermal runaway. Featuring next-generation sensors, an advanced detection system and an augmented reality interface, it offers an unmatched level of protection.
Cutting-edge safety technologies
Intelligent sensors – The PTS 800 is equipped with temperature, pressure, and gas sensors that enable real-time battery monitoring. Any irregularity is instantly detected.
Automated ejection system – In the event of overheating or thermal runaway, the workstation activates an automatic safety protocol, ejecting the battery into a water container to eliminate any explosion risk.
Enhanced operator protection – These built-in safeguards allow technicians to work safely, even on damaged or unstable batteries.
Augmented reality: intelligent guidance
Collaboration with Arkite – The PTS 800 integrates augmented reality technology developed in partnership with Arkite. Instructions are projected directly into the operator’s field of vision.
Validation of critical steps – This interactive system guides technicians step by step and validates each operation via intelligent sensors, significantly reducing the risk of human error.
Ergonomic and accessible design
Intuitive workstation – Designed with optimized ergonomics, the PTS 800 is easy to handle and enhances user comfort.
Universal accessibility – The workstation is accessible to all operators, including those with disabilities, promoting their integration into adapted work environments.
International recognition at CES 2025
During CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Be Energy engaged with key industry players such as Renault, EDF, Jifmar Group, and Software Republic (Orange, Dassault, Renault, JC Decaux). These meetings opened the door to strategic discussions on integrating the PTS 800 into large-scale industrial battery reconditioning processes.
The event also brought strong media visibility, with interviews featured on BFM TV, La Tribune, La Provence, and Maddyness, as well as a guest appearance on the official CES podcast.
An opportunity for international development
Be Energy’s presence at CES sparked interest from European, American, and Korean investment funds and industrial groups. The U.S. market, in particular, offers strong growth prospects, driven by rising demand for lithium battery safety solutions in the electric mobility and energy storage sectors.
The PTS 800 is perfectly aligned with this momentum, providing a reliable, industrial-scale, and scalable solution for companies looking to secure their battery regeneration and recycling operations.
A key contribution to the energy transition
The PTS 800 supports a circular economy approach by extending the lifespan of lithium batteries and reducing their carbon footprint. Reconditioning just one tonne of batteries can save up to 8 tonnes of CO₂ — a significant impact in the context of the energy transition.
Be Energy’s innovation offers a concrete alternative to premature recycling, helping to reduce industrial waste while making the most of existing resources.
Be Energy’s outlook and commitments
Buoyed by this recognition, Be Energy is accelerating the international development of its solutions and forging new partnerships with manufacturers committed to energy security and sustainability. The company continues to patent and refine its innovations to meet market expectations and address pressing environmental challenges.
