17 May 2024Towards a greener future: Be Energy and OptimisT join forces for employment and ecology.
The collaboration between Be Energy and OptimisT marks a significant step forward in the professional sector. It demonstrates an effective synergy between technological progress and social integration. This alliance, which brings together a company specialising in the regeneration of batteries and oils and the first adapted company in France to focus on the emergence of new professions, adopts an approach centred on sustainable development and the employment of people with disabilities.
The adapted company concept: an approach to professional inclusion
Established in 2005, adapted companies are key to integrating disabled people into the workplace. In accordance with article L5213-13-1 of the French Labour Code, they provide an appropriate working environment and specialised support for the professional development of their disabled employees. They play a major role in reducing the unemployment rate among this population, thereby meeting the legal requirement for companies with more than 20 employees to recruit disabled people at a rate of 6% of their workforce.
Sharing values on innovation and inclusion: Be Energy and OptimisT
The collaboration between Be Energy, an Avignon-based company specialising in battery and oil regeneration, and OptimisT, a pioneer in the creation of new adapted jobs, is a major step forward.
OptimisT, enriched by this expertise, is now renovating the lithium batteries used by La Poste, generating substantial savings for the postal giant in the management of its light mobility equipment (bicycles, delivery tricycles, etc.).
Be Energy stands out not only for its technical expertise, but also for its commitment to the professional integration of disabled people, by offering them appropriate training.
The European Green Taxonomy: a framework for corporate sustainability
Effective since 1 January 2022, the European Union's green taxonomy guides companies towards eco-responsible practices. Part of the Green Pact for Europe, this classification encourages investment in activities that respect the environment, contributing to Europe's goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
The collaboration between Be Energy and OptimisT is part of this approach, in line with the criteria of the European green taxonomy. It is also attracting major industrial partners such as Airbus and La Poste, who are reinforcing their commitment to more sustainable and inclusive practices.
The union of Be Energy and OptimisT is a remarkable example of the harmony between technological innovation and social responsibility, illustrating how technological advances can be combined with a strong social commitment to have a positive impact on society and the environment. This collaboration is also a testimony to the fact that innovation and sustainability can coexist to foster a future where inclusive employment and environmental protection go hand in hand.
